Geniale Verpackung: Banane

Del Monte hat angekündigt einzelne Bananen in Plastik verpackt zu verkaufen. Jon Stewart hat dazu den passenden Werbeslogan:

„A product for people who love bananas,
but hate their biodegradability.“

Dazu fehlen mir ehrlich gesagt die Worte. Daher hier für euch einfach das Video von Jon Stewart aus der Daily Show:

Nachtrag

Der Vize-Präsident des Marketing von DelMonte, Dionysios Christou, hat sich zu dem Thema in einem Interview mit forbes geäußert. Er lässt allerdings nur den typischen Manager Bullshit ab, redet davon wie diese Erfindung ein Schritt im Kampf gegen Übergewicht ist (recht hat der Mann, Plastik hat keine Kalorien).

A great example of the positive contribution that the […] single finger bananas is the fact that now school children, when they go to their school vending machine, can choose a banana instead of, let’s say, a chocolate bar or potato chips (which coincidentally also use plastic wrappers).

Welcher Irre bietet in Automaten in Schulen Schokolade oder gar Kartoffelchips an? Und das Argument „die anderen sind noch schlimmer“ ist kindisch und zieht nicht.

Dieses Interview beantwortet dann auch die Fragen aus den Kommentaren: Nein, es ist kein Aprilscherz. Die Menschheit ist wirklich vollkommen wahnsinnig.
